WHERE TO RIDE IN THE RED LODGE AREA

Map of roads accessible by riding from Red Lodge:

West Fork Road
From our shop, ride through town to West Fork Rd (you’ll see a large sign for Red Lodge Mountain skiing). Follow this beautiful road with very little car traffic into the forest. After about 7 miles, it turns to gravel.

Ski Run Road to Red Lodge Mountain
A steep, paved road winding through the forest to the ski mountain. The chairlift will be operating this summer, so you can park your bike and jump on a lift to the top of the mountain.

Meeteetse Trail
The Meeteetse Trail is located just south of Red Lodge. This is a very technical dirt road.
Directions: Follow Highway 212, turn southeast onto Meeteetse Trail, labeled by a street sign. This road will take you along the original “100 Mile Route”, where you will end up on Highway 72 near the Montana-Wyoming border.
Mileage: 16 miles each way.

Tippet Rise Art Center

We offer drop-off and pickup service for your group’s day at Tippet Rise. Your e-bikes and helmets will be delivered and waiting for you before the opening time, and we’ll take care of pickup at closing time. A great way to explore more of this wonderful experience! Please inquire.

Tippet Rise Art Center is located on a 12,500+ acre ranch outside of Fishtail, Montana, hosting live classical music and exhibiting large-scale outdoor sculptures. Bring your own bike or your hiking shoes and tour the sculptures and the land on your own. Hiking and bicycling tours are free of charge, but require reservations. Roughly 14 miles of trails and 13 miles of gravel road connect the sculptures at Tippet Rise. Distances between each sculpture vary from .5 mile to 3 miles on hilly terrain with very steep grades. Helmets are required.

Reservations are required for entry at Tippet Rise, and are free of charge upon registering at www.tippetrise.org. Tippet Rise will be open summer 2024 from June 14th--September 15th, Friday-Sundays 9:00AM-5:30PM MT. Dogs are not allowed.
